Poker Aces refers to two aces dealt before theflop. It’s the strongest attainable before theflop hand inhold’em Poker. But despite this a good many bettors find themselves on the losing end when given these cards.
When you are dealt a set of Aces, you just do not fold before theflop. You are positioned with the best achievable hand at this stage of the round. So how do you wager with Poker Aces ? Do you basically go all-in? I would say definitely no to that.
Remember, you are attempting to produce as much profit from this strong position. You will want to maximise the opportunity. Going all-in will basically drive most competitors into dropping out without placing a bet.
If you’re in the initial seat (first or 2nd to place a bet), you will lay a single wager. Any person with a decent hand will call, hopefully a person will raise. If someone has made a raise do not jump to re-raise or call, wait for a small bit – make them think you’re considering your options and then call.
After the flop your course of action will be to eliminate anybody that could get a straight or a flush. So I would begin to raise aggressively, if you are fortunate you’ll trick one player into believing that you are bluffing.
If you are in the middle or late position (near the last to wager) you will watch as everybody calls and then raise. Even though you’re sitting with a pair of aces, if possible try to avoid a show-down. Defend your hand by forcing the other players fold after the flop. If you don’t force out your competition you chance losing your hand.
