Online poker has become world famous recently, with televised championships and celebrity poker game shows. Its universal appeal, though, stretches back in reality a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years numerous types on the original poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of the above-mentioned games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely related to chemin de fer than traditional poker, in that the players wager against the dealer rather than each other. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little concealment or different types of bamboozlement. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up before the croupier saying "No more bets." At that moment, both you and the bank and of course all of the other gamblers attain 5 cards. Once you have seen your hand and the casino’s initial card, you have to either make a call wager or bow out. The call bet’s amount is on same level to your original bet, indicating that the stakes will have doubled. Giving Up means that your bet goes immediately to the bank. After the bet is the conclusion. If the casino doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your bet is given back, with an amount equal to the initial bet. If the dealer does have ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand is greater than the dealer’s hand. The dealer pays chips equal to your bet and set expectations on your call bet. These expectations are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for 2 pairs
  • three to one for 3 of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
