Web poker has become globally acclaimed lately, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game shows. Its universal appeal, though, arcs back quite a bit farther than its TV scores. Over the years many types on the first poker game have been created, including a few games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with blackjack than long-standing poker, in that the players bet against the house rather than the other players. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little concealment or different types of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up prior to the croupier saying "No more wagers." At that instance, both you and the casino and of course all of the other gamblers receive five cards. Once you have looked at your hand and the dealer’s initial card, you need to either make a call wager or surrender. The call wager’s amount is akin to your original wager, indicating that the stakes will have doubled. Bowing out means that your bet goes directly to the casino. After the wager is the face off. If the dealer does not have ace/king or better, your bet is returned, plus a figure on par with the initial wager. If the house has a hand with ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand is greater than the bank’s hand. The bank pays out money equal to your bet and controlled odds on your call bet. These expectations are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- two to one for two pairs
- 3-1 for 3 of a kind
- four to one for a straight
- 5-1 for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
- fifty to one for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
