Ah, the poker steam. If a poker gambler claims never to have peered down the shadow of a looming tilt – they’re either lying or they have not been wagering very long. This does not imply of course that everyone has gone on steam in the past, some players have wonderful willpower and carry their losses as a hit and keep it at that. To be a powerful poker gambler, it’s especially critical to treat your wins and your defeats in a similar manner – with no emotion. You compete in the game in the same manner you did following a difficult beat like you would after winning a great hand. Most of the poker pros are not attracted by tilting after a bad beat as they are particularly accomplished and you should be to.

Hands that usually cause players to go on tilt are hands that you were the favored or at a minimum thought you were up until you were rivered and you burned a big portion of your stack. Bad defeats are going to develop. Embrace that fact right now, I’ll say it once more – if your sister enjoys cards, if your mother plays cards, if your grandpa plays cards – They have all had poor losses at some point. You have squandered $80 in a hand where you were sure to pick up $200two hundred dollars when you went all-in on the flop and enjoyed a 10 – 1 edge. And that fiend! He bled you dry on the river? – Well stop right there. This is a classic opportunity for a fresh player to start tilting. They really just lost too much $$$$ on one hand that they should have won and they’re angry
