Pai Gow Poker is a current game with old ancestry. Founded on the ancient Chinese tile game and the current American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the far east with the west in a wonderful game for beginning level players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the gambler vs. the casino, not like the majority of other poker games that players compete with other gamblers. By betting against the dealer, starting players don’t need to worry about any other, more experienced players winning their moolla.

A further Pai Gow edge is the generally slow game play, novices can take their time and scheme while not having to make frenzied selections.

It’s also much simpler to gamble on for a very long time with basically a tiny amount of cash since, to lose, both of your hands has to be lower than each of the houses hands.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the familiar 52-card basic deck and a single joker. The player is assigned seven cards face up and the casino gets 7 cards face down.

A 5 card hand and one 2 card hand have to be made from the seven cards, the five card hand must be higher than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand totals to be larger than the dealer’s.
