The value of Poker Seating

Texas Holdem is all about players and seating. All knowledgeable Texas Holdem enthusiasts agree that seating in no cutoff Hold’em is fundamentally important. Playing your hole cards in last spot may be much more profitable than in starting poker spot. This is seeing that much more info is amassed before acting.

i.e., I played in a $1-$2 no limit money game at a local poker room. I bumbled in with 2, 9 unsuited on the croupier marker, so I could see some action. Flop arrived A-A-4. A gambler in starting position made a $15 bet. Two entrants fold and it was now my turn. I should have dropped out, but something appear to be a tiny bit odd. I labeled this player as a weak-tight person, and normally if he held the number one hand he would just check, so I called.

The turn came down with a 7, meaning it was a A-A-4-7. My opposer laid an additional wager of $20. I hesitated for a while, but made a decision to re-raise an additional $30thirty dollars over and above his $20. He dropped out and I take the chips.

Playing late position gives you an idea where you are positioned by seeing how other players react and bet. On the flip side, enthusiasts at early spot could use their poker position to check-raise the late positioned competitors and corner them afterwords at the end. In Holdem, both ends, late and early must be played cautiously.
