Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the normal 52-card basic deck and one joker. The player is given seven cards face up and the croupier is given seven cards face down.
One 5 card hand and a 2 card hand have to be made from the seven cards, the five card hand has to be stronger than the two card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand values to be larger than the casino’s.
